The Paramount Chamber Players, in cooperation with The Bristol Music Club, annually present The Paramount Chamber Players Award. Audition judges select the recipient of this award from winners of The Bristol Music Club’s annual Scholarship Auditions. The award- winner performs with members of The Paramount Chamber Players during the next concert season. All participants and winners are students of teacher members of The Bristol Music Club, and as such, are younger than 19 years of age and live within the boundaries of the Mountain Empire, a triangle area defined by Roanoke, VA, Knoxville, TN and Asheville NC. The award provides an opportunity to an aspiring student musician to learn first-hand about the experience of performing chamber music as well as learning a bit of what they can expect in a performance career. The preparation for performance puts the young musician in close contact with older, more experienced career musicians in both musical and personal ways that only the collaborative nature of chamber music allows.
